He was also a recipient of prestigious U.S. Government Fellowships<\/b><\/strong>,<\/em> and served as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate<\/b><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0for 3.5 years at three renowned universities in the United States\u2014University of Rhode Island (Kingston), University of Minnesota (St. Paul), and Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri<\/em><\/b><\/strong>.<\/em><\/span><\/p>

Driven by a dream to establish an indigenous manufacturing base for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs)<\/b><\/strong>,<\/em> Dr. Palkar achieved a major milestone in 1971<\/b><\/strong><\/em>, when he developed Vitamin B2 5-Phosphate Sodium<\/b><\/strong><\/em>\u2014an API that was, until then, being imported into India from developed countries such as Switzerland.
